It is hard to define the joy-filled aura surrounding Spanish artist Sutja Gutiérrez. You may have heard of Sutja through his other project the The Fruhstucks. Or maybe you heard his music on television ads to visit Malta or at runway shows in New York. Perhaps this is your first time EVER hearing of Sutja and you’re a bit skeptical. We have a feeling once you step into his world all of that will change.
The multi-format artist based in Castellón Spain has been building a following in all corners of the globe through his personal drawings, photos, homemade videos, and sensual music that express his unique view on the world that many find to be pure bliss. Sutja’s sound is rooted lo-fi pop with melodies that evoke a sense of childlike glee. They get stuck in your head, become the soundtrack to dreams, and most importantly just make you feel great.
Los Angeles based label JAXART Records will release Sutja Gutierrez’s new album “White Ponycorn In My Room” TODAY Monday April 18th – with a twist.
The album will be available for FREE DOWNLOAD through Bandcamp and they are asking everyone make a donation to help Sutja go on tour. With rising gas prices, commodities skyrocketing, touring has become a near impossibility for most independent artists. RACES (formerly known as Black Jesus) formed in the fall of 2009 after singer/songwriter Wade Ryff escaped the sweaty grips of multiple bands, the San Fernando Valley and a real life witch. First formed as an impromptu group assembled for a one-off performance, the band was a haphazard collection of musicians who had befriended one-another over years of playing music. The band of seven is on the verge of releasing their self-recorded and produced album.
