In A Nutshell?

JAXART is a Los Angeles based organization that tries its damndest to spread joy in the Los Angeles community by supporting independent music, art+design, film, and literature. It was officially founded in 2004 by JAX - A.K.A Ashley Jex a tiny girl with big dreams about changing the world. JAXART been hailed as “overly ambitious,” “unfeasible” and a “a worthy cause bound to never to turn a profit” - which we take as a compliment. We’re passionate about self-expression and giving truly deserving artists a platform and a voice.

2006 saw the official launch of JAXART Records. in hopes of sharing innovative artists from Southern California with the rest of the world. JAXART Records is a sans cd label. We only release our records digitally and as limited edition vinyl singles.

JAXART Records is distributed digitally by IODA. The fine folks over at IODA live to support independent music. The only thing we heart more than IODA are baby unicorns and 19 yr old baby faced hipsters who try to grow ironic mustaches.
