22AugF Yeah Fest 5 Next Weekend In Echo Park

JAXART Records will be one of the sponsors for this year’s F YEAH FEST in Echo Park. What does that mean? Well it means we gave them a bunch of money to say how much they love us (Kidding).

JAXART is all about supporting the local music scene in Los Angeles and the dudes behind the festival (which is now in its unprecedented 5th year) really work their asses off to make it the ultimate showcase for undiscovered music from not just LA but across the country.

F YEAH FEST 5 will go down next weekend August 30th and 31st. This year’s fest is more than just a festival. It’s a series of events, shows, scavenger hunts, and of course one massive party for a few good causes. Check out all the event details below. Tickets are only $18 and can be purchased in advanced through ticketweb or at the list of shops after the jump.

12JunMezzanine Owls TONIGHT in Long Beach

Mezzanine Owls and The Pity Party are playing TONIGHT at Alex’s Bar down in Long Beach w/ Coco B’s at The Secret 6’s record release show. A lineup that good is deserving of my rations.

Mezzanine Owls just opened for Swervedriver on May 29th at The Filmore and The Pity Party just returned from a month long trip from the UK and recently received a full page write up in NME (read the article here).

Sorry its been a while since you’ve heard from JAXART. May was certainly an intense month!! I should have a full update for all of you by mid week.

In the meantime: This Wednesday June 4th The Henry Clay People will be playing at The Echo with The Whigs and dear friends Le Switch! The show is being presented by Aquarium Drunkard

Tickets are $13 and the show is all ages. The band has an UNLIMITED $10 list. If you would like to go please contact the band below!

This WEDNESDAY, June 4, we’ll be playing with THE WHIGS and LE SWITCH at our home away from home, the Echo.

Also, this one is All Ages, so for all those under 21ers throughout the southland who have been dying to go to the Echo but never can because it is usually 21+, now’s your chance.

It’s also a bit earlier than most Echo shows - Doors at 8pm-

8:30 - Le Switch
9:30 - Us
10:30 - The Whigs

AND — we have an UNLIMITED “Discount” list: $10 instead of $13. That’s one extra Dewars…or Root Beer….
