While we were out returning home from SXSW Portals premiered the first of 7 videos showcasing the new developing talent which will be featured on our upcoming FREE compilation called “Generation Y Not.” First video features Dreams. – a project of 20 year old aspiring producer Jesse Pimenta.

In case you didn’t get the memo – We are teaming up with the digital label Absent Fever  to present a completely FREE compilation of 7 up and coming LA  artists. The compilation, called Generation Y Not, will be made onto 1,000 CD’s distributed and given away for free around the country.

To introduce you to the artists of Generation Y Not, 7 videos were made by the even younger videographer ‘pxl’, the first of which with Dreams.

On April 3rd, Absent Fever and JAXART will be releasing a pressing of 1,000 CD’s which will be given away for free across the US. The release will also be available for free download online.

Steffaloo aka Steph Thompson, a Los Angeles native, has lent her haunting vocals to collaborative projects with Blackbird Blackbird, Germany Germany, Sun Glitters, and Billy Comfort.

However, It is her simple love songs first introduced on her debut EP “Meet Me In Montauk” that have had us completely spellbound for months.

We are so pleased to present Steffaloo’s first ever release on vinyl – an all new single featuring “On Fire” – a stripped-down haunting ballad with b-side “The Red Runs Free” featuring Pandit – who provided a beautiful wash of surreal guitar for the release.
