Besides being just a bomb ass 7 inch you are also getting a small dose of JAX’s own blood sweat and tears.

Slow Animal leave for their tour this week and will be crisscrossing the country playing shows. Be sure to catch them if they come through your town!

My, we have been busy working behind the scenes here at JAXART for the past few months. We are very excited to introduce our next 7 Inch release from New Jersey garage pop duo Slow Animal. The seven inch is fucking noisy, catchy, and totally perfect for the summer. We like to think “theFUNsun” belongs on every summer mix tape you make this year.

We are so stoked to introduce you to POLLS from Los Angeles, CA. Haven’t heard of them yet? Well, if your into noise laden dream pop that lulls you into dream land like a bulldozer through a china shop than LISTEN UP!

Though POLLS (formerly called The Arms) have only played a handful of shows they have already garnered some positive attention thanks to gigs opening for Adam Franklin of Swervedriver and Twilight Sleep.

POLLS recently completed their debut EP produced by Jack Burnside (Mezzanine Owls) and engineered by Dan Horne. This collection of 5 fuzzed out guitar laden tunes will be available on iTUNES, EMusic, and Amazon July 20th via JAXART Records!

POLLS will be celebrating their EP Release with a performance at the Bootleg Theatre in Los Angeles, CA on July 27th, 2010.

Been a while since you heard from camp JAXART. To answers your undoubted questions – Yes we still exist and no we did not move to France to follow our passion to study the art of miming. We are still very much a label and plan on being a little more active in 2010! More news to come.

In the mean time we wanted to let you know that Divisadero will be playing this Sunday at Spaceland with The Hectors, Seasons, and The Terrapin. The show is $5 which you cant beat. Divisadero play at midnight!

“The cool thing about performing a bellyflop,” Rademacherfrontman/ songwriter Malcolm Sosa once told Web in Front, “is that you know it’ll be pretty painful, but if you hit the water just right, it can be pretty spectacular as well.”

Having said all that, Rademacher has come out of this tumultuous time in remarkably good shape, as is apparent on this new release. Their music has a more basic, stripped-down sound. Musically upbeat, and with the same quirkiness and wistful, nostalgic, somewhat melancholy feel in Malcolm’s lyrics that first caught and held my attention.

First up is Mata Hari - the debut LP from Fresno based post-punk project Fay Wrays. Their frantic yet lush tunes are intense and automatically put me back in Salt Lake City circa 2001 when I was obsessively listening to Hot Snakes and Fugazi. Stand out tracks include “Weatherman,” and “The Word,” but if you ask me the entire record is a balls out good time.

Also out today is Bellyflop the new EP from Rademacher.
